This item is in new condition, kept unused. Hardware still have protective plastics on, they have started to patina into that antique look - very normal and inevitable on brass hardware and can be polished back to shiny finish if preferred. We personally love the aged look! Small 'marks' on interior corners (see photos) from glue used in production underneath the lining.
